Refund Policy

Last updated: 9 September 2026

This Refund Policy explains what happens to money you pay SinStories (sinstories.app and the SinStories app). It forms part of our Terms of Service and covers both of the things you can pay for: recurring subscription plans and one-off top-up packs of credits.

Digital goods, delivered immediately. Credits appear in your account the moment a payment succeeds, and a subscription gives you access to the service for the period you have paid for. Payments are therefore final and non-refundable, including for a period already under way, except where the law where you live requires otherwise. By buying credits or starting a subscription you ask us to deliver them straight away and accept that a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content, where you have one, ends once delivery has begun.

Unused credits and inactive accounts. A subscription is charged for access, not for use: it renews and is billed whether or not you sign in. Subscription credits are a weekly allowance that resets, so anything left unspent at the end of a weekly period is lost, and unused weeks do not accumulate, carry over, pause your subscription or extend it. We do not monitor whether an account is being used, and we accept no responsibility for credits or paid periods you did not use; they are not refunded, in whole or in part, however long an account has been inactive. Credits bought in a top-up pack are the exception — they are yours outright and never expire, so they are still waiting whenever you come back.

Cancelling. You can cancel a paid subscription at any time, in whichever way suits you: in your account settings on the site, in the Stripe billing portal where your payment details are managed, or by writing to support@sinstories.app from the address the account uses. Cancelling stops the next renewal — it is not a refund of a payment already taken. You keep your plan until the end of the period you have paid for and the plan's allowance ends with it, while credits you bought outright stay in your account. Cancel before the renewal date: a cancellation that reaches us after a renewal has been charged takes effect for the period after it.

What we do put right. Credits are returned to your account automatically whenever something we charged for does not deliver: a story that fails to generate, a request the model declines to write, a generation our own safety rules stop and remove, or narration that produces no audio. If you were charged twice for the same purchase, or a payment was taken after a cancellation had already taken effect, write to support@sinstories.app with the date and the amount; we will look into it and return the money where the charge was a genuine error on our side. This is us correcting our own mistakes, not a general right to a refund.

Before opening a dispute. If a charge looks wrong, write to support@sinstories.app first: we answer billing questions and, where we are at fault, settle them faster than a bank dispute can. Raising a chargeback over content and credits that were delivered may lead to the account being suspended or closed.

Contact and changes. Questions about a payment, a cancellation or this policy go to support@sinstories.app — please include the email address on the account and the date of the payment. We may update this policy; the date above shows the current version.
