Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of SinStories (sinstories.app and the SinStories app). By creating an account or otherwise using the service you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy; if you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and adult content must be legal where you live. By using SinStories you confirm this. The service is for personal, non-commercial use.

Your account. You sign in with your email, using a one-time code we send you. You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure and for activity that happens under your account.

The service. SinStories uses AI to generate fictional stories from the prompts and choices you provide, and can read finished text aloud in an AI voice. All output is fiction involving consenting adult characters. AI output can be unpredictable or inaccurate and is provided for your personal enjoyment.

Acceptable use. You agree not to use SinStories to create or solicit content that is illegal or breaks our safety rules — including anything that sexualizes minors, presents non-consent as real, or targets real, identifiable people. You also agree not to abuse, disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape or resell the service.

Your content. You remain responsible for the prompts you enter and how you use the stories you generate, which you may use for your own personal purposes. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the service, such as storing and displaying your stories back to you.

Ownership of what the service produces. Every story and every recording made here — the text and the audio alike, whether it stays in your library or you publish it to the Community — belongs to SinStories. Your credits pay for producing it and for your access to it; they do not transfer ownership of it to you. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to read, listen to and use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. We may remove, delete or stop serving any of it at any time, for any reason and without notice, including content you paid credits to create.

Community. You may create an author profile and publish a story or an interactive session of yours to the Community, under a pen name or anonymously. The Community is public: anyone with the link can read it, including people who have no account, so a pen name is public too. By publishing you confirm that you have the right to share the content and that it follows our safety rules, and you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display it publicly and to let members copy it into their own library and continue it — that is what the Community is for. What you send is reviewed before anyone can see it: nothing appears in the Community until we have approved it, we may refuse it, and we may hide or remove anything at any time, without notice. If something is refused you can appeal by telling us why; our decision on an appeal is final. A story or a session is a single thread, and each part and each reading in it is reviewed, published and taken down on its own. You can take down what you published at any time; copies other members made before that stay in their libraries. We publish stories of our own in the Community too.

Credits and billing. The service runs on credits, and they pay for two things: generating text and having it read aloud. The cost of an action is shown before you confirm it. Paid plans are recurring subscriptions, charged automatically until you cancel, and they also unlock additional models; top-up packs are one-off purchases. Prices, plan allowances and pack sizes are shown on the pricing page.

How your credits behave. Credits from a subscription are an allowance, not a balance that builds up: at the start of each weekly period — counted from when you last received credits, not from the calendar — the allowance is reset to your plan's amount, so anything left unspent is lost and plan credits never roll over or accumulate. The free credits given when you create an account are a one-time trial on the same footing, and they are cleared the moment a paid subscription begins. Credits bought in a top-up pack are different: they are yours outright and never expire — not weekly, not when a plan starts or ends, and not while a payment is outstanding. Spending always draws on plan credits first and your purchased credits only after. If a subscription payment fails, plan credits are held until it succeeds, while purchased credits stay usable; if you cancel, the plan allowance ends with the period you have already paid for.

Cancellation and refunds. You can cancel a paid subscription at any time — in your account settings, in the Stripe billing portal, or by writing to support@sinstories.app — and it stops renewing at the end of the current period, until which you keep access. A subscription is billed for access rather than for use: it renews whether or not you sign in, and a period or an allowance you did not use is not refunded, carried over or extended, however long the account has been idle. Except where required by law, payments and used credits are non-refundable. Our Refund Policy sets all of this out in full.

Intellectual property. The SinStories name, brand, site and software belong to us. Don't copy, redistribute or build a competing service from them without permission.

Disclaimers and liability. The service is provided 'as is' and 'as available', without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SinStories is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms or our safety rules.

Changes and contact. We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the current version, shown by the date above. Questions: support@sinstories.app.
